Dry Skin DIY remedy

I don't know how many of you face this problem but as the winter season is about to come, my skin gets super dry, which otherwise is normal and extremely oily in monsoons (thats one too many types for a skin right?) But thats the problem of my life. I have to keep on switching products and routines to fit to my skin needs every 3-4 months.

Recently my skin was again going all dry and flaky. Earlier my routine was to slather ounces of The body Shop Shea Butter on my face before going to sleep, after cleaning ofcourse. But now that I get super sleepy after 10, its difficult for me to manage. Therefore in my pursue to save my skin, I discovered a remedy that was once my routine and now has tremendous hydrating effect on my skin.

The combination remedy is honey, lemon and turmeric,

Why does it work you ask me, then here's why:


Honey, as we all know, is extremely hydrating and and has anti-inflammatory properties. It has four major skin benefits:
  • Moisturising
  • Acne control
  • Anti ageing
  •  Complexion boost


Lemon is rich in vitamin C and has a mild bleaching effect on the skin too. It is anti bacterial and boosts skin tone as well.
 
Turmeric is the universal saviour for me. It is anti-inflammatory and reduces scars and pigmentation of the skin.


The bottom line is if you too are facing dry skin issues then try this mask for 3 weeks on every alternate day (or night). Apply it for 20 minutes over a cleansed face and wash off with normal running water. Pat dry and massage a little with a moisturiser afterwards.
